The Bad Hombre – Election Day (Part 2)

The Bad Hombre - Hero

Alright! The sangria is aged appropriately. Here it is! To be honest, I stole this recipe from the internet, but just as I care less about the Republican candidate, I also care less about the red drink. So there.

The Bad Hombre - Ingredients

The Bad Hombre

  • 2 bottles red Spanish table wine
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
  • Orange slices
  • Apple slices
  • Blackberries
  • Pomegranate seeds

Mix all ingredients together and let stand in a tightly sealed container or pitcher for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving.

Tasting Notes

BN: Tasty! I’m not always a sangria fan but this has a nice balance of flavor. And you can’t even tell how cheap the ingredients we put into it were. Yum.

PiC: I thought it was good! It is sweet, but it’s strong.
