What is the definition of a pun? See, because Stephen King’s Duma Key is actually about a Florida Key. So I’m not sure combining it with “key lime” actually counts as a joke. Eh, whatever. This was my favorite one, and will be making an appearance tonight at the Halloween party.

Duma Key Lime

• 4 parts key lime juice
• 2 parts simple syrup [technically I used gum syrup but shhh]
• 3 parts tequila
• 1 part triple sec
• Mix.

Tasting Notes

BN: This is probably the easiest to make in a big batch. And was my favorite, as mentioned before! Honestly, not that different from a margarita, but with a little bit of a different kick from the key limes. Two additions (one definite) that we’ll be working with – a graham cracker / salt mixture for rimming the glasses, which is for sure, and potentially the replacement of 1 part syrup with 1 part condensed milk, to get that key lime pie flavor. If it doesn’t curdle. This needs testing!
